ABOUT THE MARK ANTHONY FUENTES ASSOCIATION
The Mark Anthony Fuentes Association is a charity organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of Filipinos, with a specific focus on the citizens of Tangalan, Aklan. Our mission is to provide education, healthcare, and other essential services to those in need. We believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on the community and help to improve the quality of life for everyone.
OUR HISTORY
Mark Anthony Carrasco Fuentes is a technologist and cybersecurity thought leader with deep roots in Tangalan, Aklan that reach as far back as the 19th Century, with his Great Great Grandfather “Tan” Marcos Fuentes, who served as Barangay Captain of Tangalan when it was still just a Barangay of neighboring town, Makato.
Mark’s Great Grandfather, Pedro Fuentes, Sr., served as a Deputy Governor of Capiz in the 1940’s, during the Japanese occupation.
When Tangalan became its own independent municipality, Mark’s Grandfather, Isagani Tejada Fuentes, became Tangalan’s first elected Mayor.
Inspired by his forefathers' service to Tangalan, and as a sixth generation Tangalanon, himself, Mark felt the calling to contribute as well to the success of Tangalan and its people. It is from this call to service that The Mark Anthony Fuentes Association was founded.
OUR FOCUS
The Mark Anthony Fuentes Association works on many types of activities to achieve our mission. We partner with local organizations, businesses, and individuals who share our vision of a better world. Together, we work to provide education, healthcare, and other essential services to those in need. We are grateful for the support of our partners and we look forward to continuing to work together to make a positive impact on the community.
